Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga:
 
This intro class to Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga will be an unparalleled experience that will get you out for the studio for a completely different way to practice yoga and overall fitness. If you’ve never done yoga but love to paddle or never paddled and love yoga, there’s no question this fusion of the two will be an incredibly fun and playful way to build your core strength, balance and overall well-being.  
This class will be a light hearted fun time with no critics, taught in a heated indoor pool. Anyone can do this so grab a friend and come join us for one of the fastest growing water sports in the world. All classes will be taught by Brian LeFeve from Great Lakes Surf Shop. 
SURF FIT FUSION ( NEW ) :
 
I developed Surf Fit because it’s a very similar program I have been doing for years. It has made me a stronger and more balanced waterman & athlete and also a calmer / balanced person in life. Surf Fit is a fusion of Yoga and Paddlefit. Paddlefit is high intensity circuit training on a stand up paddleboard. This unique blended workout focuses on balance, strength and cardio. Not only will we be prone paddling (like surfing), stationary paddling (stand up paddleboard style) we will also utilize resistant bands along with some basic yoga moves. This type of body weight exercise will free you from a boring gym and add fun and fitness to your workouts, all while being on the water (which is therapeutic in its self). And after the class, if interested, I'm happy to talk about nutrition and what has worked for me over the years as an athlete.

AQUA AEROBICS:

 

Here’s a way to stay fit and keep your joints flexible!

 

Enjoyable aqua aerobics routines that you can do, whether you can swim or not.. I love water exercises because they provide such a great workout with minimal impact on my joints. Great if you're recovering from injury, elderly or just a break from high impact land exercise.

 

Step into the water and enjoy 60 minutes of soft cardio as well as underwater weights which will help propel you into shape. You can go at your own pace and laugh the entire time.  There will be music and a wide variety of exercises.

 

Please bring your suits, a towel and underwater weights…. And your personality. If there are any ailments we can accommodate accordingly.

 

We also offer classes at The Grosse Pointe Yacht Club during the summer.  It is a beautiful view!

Classes are available on Saturdays at Eastpointe Hight School on 9mile and Gratiot.
